What makes this example so very RARE is that it is clearly Marked on the handle. "PAT 22 1884" (see photo)
An 1884 Charles L. Griswold American patent corkscrew, patent # 322,331. This corkscrew has a sliding brass plated bell and an acorn handle. The worm is full and straight with a good sharp point.
