The Bee's Wing ": C1820 papier mache snuff box. On the lid a gentleman admiring a glass of port. " Bees Wing " refers to a most desirable second crust, indicative of the long ageing of bottled port, c0onsisting of pure, shining scales of tartar, said to resemble the wing of a bee. On the table a rack corkscrew, and a decanted bottle of port. 3.75 inches diameter x 0.75 inches deep. VG condition, noting a minor chip on rim.
