English William Lund & William Hipkins London Rack - Patent No 736, April 2,1855. This is a two pillar rack and pinion corkscrew with exposed pinion. This rack & pinion corkscrew is made exactly according to the patent drawing. The shaft is marked “Lund’s Patent London Rack”. A wonderful example of a hard to find corkscrew. (See Ferd Peters Mechanical Corkscrews page 224, figure 730.
CONDITION
Very good overall condition. Handle is excellent with original dusting brush. Mechanicals work without issue.
