DESCRIPTION
Rare English Nickel Plated Corkscrew.
Frederick Whelan English patent No 2642 June 17 1881.
Marked " G. F. Hipkins & Son" on one side and "Patent" on the reverse". Near mint condition with only minimal plating loss.
Perfect bladed worm center pointed exactly as in the patent drawing.
This is the Rolls Royce of Whelan patent corkscrews - why have one with a copper wash when this plated version in excellent condition is available!
