An excellent example of Thomas M. Strait's patent issued on June 12, 1883. The shank is threaded which permits the bell to be lowered or raised as required. The conical bell is marked "PAT.JUNE.12.83".
I consider this example to be in excellent condition. The handle and brass band are tight. The is no damage and the worm is original, straight and sharp.
