DESCRIPTION
Ellis Collection - Wade seal with porcelain ball corkscrew
Charming dark blue porcelain figural seal acting as a sheath for a corkscrew with a multicoloured porcelain ball handle, which fits into the seal’s mouth. The ball has 8 segments with blue, yellow, green and orange stripes alternating with white (there are some examples with 6 segments).
There is a sticker underneath the seal marked “Genuine Wade porcelain, Made in England”. It probably dates from the 1960s.

CONDITION
Condition – Very good. All porcelain is intact, worm is intact. Corkscrew has a small rubber ring under the ball to protect it from hitting the seal.
